At Innergex, we've been generating renewable energy in Canada for over 30 years, first in Quebec, then in Ontario since 1999 and in British Columbia since 2004. We were the first to create a partnership with an Indigenous community, the Biigtigong Nishnaabeg, in northern Ontario, resulting in a 50-50 hydroelectric project that has been generating value for the community and renewable energy for the country since 2008. We develop and operate renewable energy projects in 5 Canadian provinces. Our approach is based on development that respects our planet and local communities. Our priority is to develop projects that are well integrated into their natural environment, protect wildlife and produce clean electricity to mitigate the effects of climate change. These projects bring substantial income to local communities, many of whom are also project partners.
