Kwoiek Creek, an Innergex hydroelectric project whose construction began in December 2011, was the subject of a Radio-Canada news report. The French-language broadcast told the story of the project which was first conceived in 1990 by the James Frank, Chief of the Kanaka Bar Indian Band. The Innergex project is portrayed as an endeavour bringing hope to young members of this First Nations community.
