Recreational users of Ashlu Creek are advised that the bridge that crosses Ashlu Creek, at 2km on the Squamish River FSR, was damaged during a high-flow storm event in late November 2017 and is closed to all vehicle traffic due to unsafe conditions. The bridge is the responsibility of the Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development (MFLNRORD) who are aware of the situation and are keeping users updated on their website. MFLNRORD has advised (as of Feb 2018) that the bridge will be passable by foot and ATV (no cars/trucks) and user discretion is advised. Innergex will continue to provide recreational flows for kayaking in 2018 as per normal. Bridge repair is scheduled for late summer 2018. Updates will be posted when/if they become available.
