▪ Integration of a photovoltaic solar system that will provide approximately 30 % of the theatre’s future electricity needs.
▪ Investment of $50,000.
▪ Developing expertise in commercial and institutional self-production market and related services.

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. (TSX: INE) (“Innergex” or the “Corporation”) is pleased to announce its contribution to the rebuilding of Le Théâtre de la Vieille-Forge de Petite-Vallée, by installing a solar roof top on the new building.

Innergex will install a solar photovoltaic system on the roof of Théâtre de la Vieille Forge in Petite-Vallée, meeting approximately 30% of the future electricity needs of the theater. Innergex will supply nearly 75 solar panels that will generate approximately one third of the new building’s electrical needs with renewable energy. The project represents an initial investment of almost $50,000 by Innergex.

“We are pleased to contribute to the upgrading of this theater and to offer a solution that is forward looking by providing clean renewable energy that is also economically sustainable,” said Michel Letellier, President and Chief Executive Officer of Innergex. "This partnership aligns perfectly with our corporate values and allows us to develop our expertise in the growing self-production market."

"We are proud to partner with Innergex in promoting an environmentally responsible culture," said Alan Côté, Director of the Petite-Vallée Song Festival. "This is another important step in the reconstruction of the theater, which is scheduled to begin in 2019. We are very grateful to all the generous donors, including Innergex, which allows us to continue our cultural mission to make music shine throughout Quebec and elsewhere."

Innergex will manage the long-term maintenance of the solar system. There is a possibility that the concept could evolve to incorporate a storage system (battery) to store the energy produced. This is the first self-production project for Innergex, which already manages three operating solar farms, one in Ontario and two in the United States.
