During the Annual FQM Congress (Fédération québécoise des municipalités), on September 25th, the Rivière-du-Loup RCM won the municipal Leadership Award for its Viger-Denonville community wind farm. The RCM and its partner, Innergex, have made the Viger-Denonville community wind farm an exemplary demonstration of landscape integration and social acceptability. It also provided important economic benefits during construction and brought financial benefits for the community.
