Tretheway, Big Silver and Shovel Creeks
In the spring of 2010, Cloudworks Energy Inc. was awarded Energy Purchase Agreements (EPA) through the 2008 BC Hydro Clean Power Call for run of river developments on Tretheway, Big Silver and Shovel Creeks, commonly referred to as TSB. Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. has completed the acquisition of Cloudworks Energy Inc. in April 2011.
These two projets (three sites) are currently in the environmental assessment process led by the BC Environmental Assessment Office (BCEAO). A parallel federal environmental approval process led by the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA), and including Fisheries and Oceans Canada and Transport Canada is also underway for the Tretheway, Big Silver and Shovel Creek Waterpower Projects.
Although the three TSB projects are going throught the Environmental Assessment at the same time, each project will be applying for a separate EA Certificate. To see more information about these projects, please follow these links:
We are now engaging in community consultation prior to the commencement of construction. As part of this pre-construction phase, Innergex is continually seeking input from the community, including local residents and business owners, First Nations groups, recreational enthusiasts and other interested parties.
