Innergex understands the importance of working in harmony with its surroundings. As such, when it comes to projects already in operation or those still in the planning stage, the Innergex management team listens to the hopes and expectations of the surrounding communities.
The Chaudière Falls plant located opposite Québec City is a prime example of environmental integration. Investments made by Innergex considerably improved the park surrounding the falls – transforming it into a magnificent recreational and tourism development.
At its Portneuf Facilities, near the town of Ste-Anne-de-Portneuf on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River, Innergex ensures that canoeing and kayaking enthusiasts can enjoy the beauty of the Portneuf River. During the summer months, Innergex provides a shuttle service to a boat launch located some 15 kilometers upstream from the power stations.
Another example of its social commitment can be found at the Saint-Paulin plant, where Innergex has built the park surrounding the breathtakingly beautiful Magnan Falls. Hiking trails and bridges help visitors fully appreciate the site's attractions. |
