Technical data
The Montmagny Facility obtains water from the Du Sud River, which has a drainage area of approximately 1,927 square kilometres.
This Facility consists of a run-of-the-river hydroelectric power generating facility with an installed capacity of 2.1 MW. The powerhouse holds five single-regulated Kaplan-type turbines. The power generated is transmitted to Hydro-Québec's grid through a short overhead line. The expected annual production of electricity of the Montmagny Facility is 7.211 GW-hr.
