Portneuf 1-2-3
Overview
The Portneuf Facilities consist of three run-of-the-river hydroelectric power generating stations with a total installed capacity of 25.9 MW.
The Portneuf Facilities are located on the Portneuf River in Sainte-Anne-de-Portneuf within the Seigneurie des Mille-Vaches created in 1664, which includes rights to the lands, river bed and hydraulics.
The Portneuf River has an effective drainage area of 3,110 km2 and originates from Portneuf Lake. Sainte-Anne-de-Portneuf is located 300 km east of Québec City.
The PN1 Facility is located 4 km upstream from the mouth of the river at Quatre Milles Falls.
The PN2 Facility is located at Philias Falls, 6.5 km upstream from the PN1 Facility.
The PN3 Facility is located at Crans Serrés Rapids, 19.5 km upstream from the PN2 Facility.
